Kewl. Sweet procreation. And, hey, to Future Miles, who doubtless will be reading this via some neural shunt or something, I just wanted you to know that your Dad and Mom really wanted your name to be Taylor Negron Shellen ... but there's apparently a law against that. These were crazy times.
Miles was the name of my ex-boss from a long time ago. I dated his ex-girlfriend for a while behind his back. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but it probably wasn't. Anyway, I'm rambling. Congrats!
Hey way to go Miles! You've got the same first name of possibly the greatest creative genius in recent memory, and the same middle name of our culture's most beloved cartoon patriarch. Not to mention a pretty stellar family. Not a bad start at all! Congratulations y'alls!
Congratulations! I dont have children myself yet but hope one day soon I will. I heard from friends the joy one gets from parenthood is something out of this world. I cant wait!
Congrats! It must be very special to have a new family member. I hope all is well. I will be praying for you and your family. Especially Miles. God bless!

Welcome to the world Little Miles. This world can be rough at times but, it looks like you have a daddy that won't let nothing happen to his little world. Welcome
photo: Jason ShellenMany happy returns. I'm glad you came along when you did. My life wouldn't have been the same without you. Thanks to Ev, Meg, Paul, Matt and Derek for dreaming up such a fun playground for me personally and professionally. Thanks to those who helped power the [b] during the hard times and for those keeping it real over at Google. You know who you are.
I took over organizing the Macworld SF bloggers lunch after Mr. Barrett stopped making the trek out four years ago. That means that we are looking at the fifth year of the annual lunch and should probably have our act together this year and plan way ahead so we can monetize world-class web-readiness or something. In any case, the lunch will be on January 10, 2006 at a time and meeting place to be decided shortly depending on interest (feel free to use the comments here to hash it out if you like). You don't need to be attending the conference to come out to lunch, but if you would like to go to the show too you can grab a free Macworld Expo Pass from the generous folks at Other World Computing. You can even register online. The nicest thing about this lunch - low formality and purpose, high on chocolate chip cookies and goofing off. I encourage you to let me know if you are planning on attending and spread the word. Last year we had a great time and I expect this year to be even b…

Google Inc., Microsoft's newest rival in online search and Web-based services, also has a popular blogging service called Blogger that the Web search company bought in 2002.Actually it was 2003.On to a more delicate one, let's debunk the Google video blogging rumor. Larry Page was quoted as saying:"In the next few days, we're actually going to start taking video submissions from people, and we're not quite sure what we're going to get, but we decided we'd try this experiment"I appreciate the fervor for the blog format, but the above statement should not give folks the impression that this is video blogging. It is not. I like the idea of video blogging but this is an unrelated experiment, you'll see what I mean in the coming weeks.Moving on, Steve Rubel writes, Why Google is Syndication Shy:Before …
